Supreme Court orders CBI inquiry, Maharashtra government will not be able to challenge it, FIR registered in Patna was correct. Sushant’s body was found hanging in his flat in Mumbai on June 14. Sushant’s father had filed a case against Riya in Patna. Riya is accused of harassing Sushant.
Sushant’s father’s lawyer said- the court ruled in our favor on all points.
CBI will investigate the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The Supreme Court gave this order on Wednesday. The court said, Maharashtra government will not be able to challenge the case of CBI investigation. The FIR lodged in Patna was correct.
Sushant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty had appealed to transfer Patna’s investigation to Mumbai. In this case, the Supreme Court on August 11 had sought a written reply from all the parties while keeping the judgment reserve.
Riya had said that it is illegal to transfer the case to the CBI, considering the investigation being done in Bihar as the basis. If the court itself decides to get the CBI investigated, then there will be no objection.
Riya Chakraborty has suffered a significant setback in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The Supreme Court has handed over the investigation to the CBI. The court said that the Bihar government is capable of recommending an inquiry. The court also admitted that the Mumbai Police did not investigate.
The Maharashtra government wants to challenge this decision of the Supreme Court. The court said that the Mumbai Police had not conducted the
investigation but only the inquiry.
Apart from this, the Supreme Court said that the Maharashtra government will have to follow this order. The Supreme Court clearly stated that if any further FIR is registered in this case, only CBI will look into it. As soon as the Supreme Court’s decision came, Sushant’s former girlfriend tweeted – Truth has won.
Advocate Vikas Singh of Sushant Singh’s family said that this is a victory for Sushant Singh Rajput’s family. The Supreme Court ruled on all points in our favor. The court also clarified that the FIR lodged in Patna was correct. Now CBI will start its investigation, and Sushant’s family will know the truth of his death.
The Supreme Court reserved the verdict after the hearing last Tuesday. Shweta Singh Kirti, sister of Sushant Singh Rajput, had urged the Supreme Court to make a quick decision regarding the CBI inquiry into the case of brother’s death. Shweta said in a tweet that we are waiting for the court’s decision with high hopes. In this case, there should’ nt be a delay of one minute.
The matter was in the Supreme Court regarding who has the right to investigate the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The Supreme Court had sought written replies from all the parties. Written answers were given by the Bihar government, Riya Chakraborty, and Sushant’s family to the Supreme Court.
At the same time, a written reply was provided by the CBI in the Supreme Court. It has been said in response that the court should allow the CBI and
Enforcement Directorate (ED) to continue their investigation.
